DNSSEC

DNSSEC, or Domain Name System Security Extensions, is a system used to enhance the security of websites by preventing data leakage through DNS spoofing or DNS poisoning. DNSSEC works by verifying whether the data in a child zone matches the parent zone. Some people mistakenly consider DNSSEC as a replacement for SSL. However, according to PANDI Indonesia, DNSSEC is not a substitute for SSL, it does not encrypt data, and it is not designed to mitigate DDoS attacks.

Requirements for Setting Up DNSSEC

• Ensure that you have DNSSEC records.
• You can inquire about or confirm the DNSSEC records with your hosting provider.

Steps to Set Up DNSSEC

• Login RNA Dashboard.
• Click Domains menu.
• Click All Domains menu.
• Click on the domain name for which you want to manage DNSSEC.
• Click DNSSEC tab.
• Fill in the DNSSEC records according to the recommended configuration provided by your hosting or DNSSEC provider. Then, click the Save icon.
• If you want to add additional DNSSEC records, click on Add.
